Voters Vet Candidates for Ohio House 34th District

Stow Leaders Pribonic, Feldman Welcome Attendees to District-wide Event

Nearly 90 residents showed up the day after Superbowl Sunday to learn about the credentials of three Democratic candidates for the Ohio House 34th District seat.

State Rep. Casey Weinstein, who spoke at the event as the Special Guest, will vacate his seat in this district to run for State Senate in the newly re-drawn 28th District. The three candidates for Weinstein's seat -- Derrick Hall, Dina Edwards and Nathan Jarosz -- each provided a summary of their qualifications and experience and answered questions posed by forum moderator Dr. David Licate.

Stow Mayor John Pribonic and Stow City Council President Cyle Feldman welcomed attendees and shared their thoughts on the importance of voting to select candidates who can continue supporting Stow.

Prior to the candidate forum, attendees were able to meet the candidates.

The event was held Feb. 12 at the Acker-Moore Memorial Post in Stow and hosted by the Stow Sunshine Project. Co-sponsors were the Summit County Democratic Party, Summit County Progressive Democrats, The Federated Democratic Women of Summit County, the Democratic Club of Hudson and Stow City Council President Cyle Feldman.

The event was streamed on Facebook and is available for viewing at the Stow Sunshine Project FB page.
